This is one for all the chocoholics! With only 4 key ingredients, this delicious nice cream is the perfect healthy alternative to traditional chocolate ice-cream. It is sweetened with medjool dates (my no. 1 choice of natural sweetener!) and we have added cashews to contribute to the creamy texture.
As with all our smoothie bowl and nice cream recipes, we recommend adding some kind of superfood to enhance nutritional value. You can add anything from plant-based protein and probiotics to powders such as maca and mesquite. This one already contains cacao powder which is an antioxidant rich superfood ingredient.
- Bananas, 4 large (frozen)
- Cashews, 1 handful
- Cacao Powder, 3 tbsp
- Medjool Dates, 2-3 pcs
- Combine all ingredients in a high-power blender, blend until smooth.
- Transfer to coconut bowls and add desired toppings.
