Luisa Gaffga- Lulu's Dreamtown

Tell us about yourself!

My name is Lulu. I am 18 years old and I am from Germany. I started blogging at the age of 11 and two years ago I started living self-employed. So I basically turned my passion into my job. :)

When did you start food blogging on Instagram and what inspired you to start?

As I already mentioned I started blogging when I was 11 years old. I started YouTube at the age of 14 and Instagram at the age of 18. I always had a lot of creativity. Everything started with doing crazy nail art and beauty stuff but after time I was more interested in food :) With gaining more followers I realized that this is the best way to spread a message of veganism and self-love, which lead me to what I am doing now :)

How long have you been vegan and what lead you to this lifestyle?

I am vegan for 3 years now. When I was 11 I decided to go vegetarian but after informing myself about animal abuse in this industry I turned vegan overnight. There was not one single reason for me to continue to support this cruel.

Your foodie creations are breathtaking, to say the least! Where did you learn all your cooking and food skills?

I actually learned everything I am doing by myself. :) I don’t know why but I have this weird thing, that I always want to learn everything by my own. :D

Your Instagram feed is so bright and beautiful! Where do you source all of your fruit and veg from?

Thank you. :) I just buy it at my local stores. We actually only have one in our little village.

What’s your go-to breakfast?

Definitely avo on toast! It’s everything!!!

If you had to live off one ingredient for the rest of your life what would it be?

Haha, so many people are asking me this in interviews. :D I think potatoes because you can create so many things with them.

When your not food blogging, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Anything creative! I love art. Not just on canvas. Also on my face and nails. I love cinematography and photography. And of course MUSIC! I am basically dancing and singing 24/7!

You serve up some pretty amazing dishes in our Coconut Bowls! What has been your favourite so far?

I truly loved the one I did for the video! I cooked rice noodles in blue chai tea and basically, they turned out blue but when you add lemon water it turns pink - this was pure magic!

What is your favourite thing about your Coconut Bowls?

I truly love the company behind it. So you guys ;) I think it is amazing that you don’t just want to create bowls, to simply sell them you really try to save products that other people would put in the trashbag and of course that it’s all vegan and it brings so many amazing influencers together. :)

We are so excited to have one of your recipes included in our new cookbook ‘Vegan Bowls for Vegan Souls’. Tell us about the recipe you chose and what it means for you to be apart of the book?

I love the rainbow! So I created a rainbow ice cream. I think colours are brightening up my days and that is why I wanted something as colourful as possible. I think it is wonderful to be a part of such an amazing community. I am getting to know more beautiful people and it just connects us - of course also because the more we share vegan recipes the better it is right? ;)
Thanks, Lulu! Big love from Coconut Bowls
